She slept most of the evening before while us carnivores grilled tons o' meats and drank most of the night on the patio. We sat around the campfire and ate strawberries and ice cream while she snored.
Susie woke up ~9am, but continued to snooze most of the day.
Eileen and Angela stopped by with lunch and we sat on the patio for a while - hoping that Susie woke up enough. Mid-afternoon, she woke up enough for a visit and had quite a coherent conversation with Eileen and Angela - joy! I'm so happy they got to see her in a decent state today.
We decided to let her take a nap and left the room for 5 minutes to see what she would do. She fell asleep pretty quickly after that.
She finally got up out of bed for the first time about 6 PM and came out to the kitchen table. She was walking and talking pretty well. Sitting at the table, she was eating some candies when I remembered that she needed to take some pills. I tried to get her to take her pills before going back to eating the candy, but somehow, she never swallowed one and got up to spit out the "bad candy" in the sink. After a few munchies, she wanted to take a nap, so she went back to bed.
At some point today, she pulled her pain patch off again (argh!) - She knows that she should not do it, but can't recall doing it.
She got up mid-evening and I helped her to take her nighttime pills and use the bathroom. Success! Back to bed for more napping.
Funny:
Q: Would you rather walk or ride to the bathroom, sweetie?
A: Why don't you bounce me like a rubber ball?

A couple more Susieisms:
Seeing several medium sized zucchinis on the counter - we should make zucchini muffins with one zucchini per muffin
That's the problem with Kool-Aid. The instructions say to use 48oz of water, but it just won't fit in the packet.
